08.24 am – Kiev General Staff: Russians pushed back on the road to Bakhmut
Successes in Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia for the Ukrainian army. In recent days, Kiev’s armed forces have recorded successes in the Klishchiivka area of the Donetsk region, as well as near Verbovoy and Novoprokopivka in the Zaporizhia region.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Therefore, in the direction of Bakhmut, the Russians unsuccessfully tried to attack in the Yagidny and Bohdanivka areas. Instead, the defense forces were successful in the Klishchiivka area as a result of the assault operations. And in the Zaporizhzhia region, the Ukrainian armed forces had partial success in the Verbovoy and Novoprokopivka areas: there they drove the enemy away from the occupied positions and entrenched themselves on the borders reached.
Yesterday in a video from Klishchiivka it was claimed that it had already been liberated by the Russian occupiers. However, the post was later removed and the unit claimed that fighting was still ongoing. On the same day it became known about the liberation of the village of Andriivka, not far from Klishchiivka. And later the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported partial successes near the settlement. In a report from the Institute for the Study of War it is noted that fighting was taking place in the Verbovoy area, but that until yesterday it was probably still controlled by the Russians.
08.12 am – Russian army shoots down two drones in regions near Moscow
The Russian Defense Ministry said two drones were intercepted over the Tver and Kaluga regions overnight. Ria Novosti reports it. The ministry said air defense units on duty shot down both drones. One was reportedly destroyed in the territory of Kaluga Oblast, southwest of Moscow. The other was intercepted in the Tver oblast, north of Moscow. The ministry reported no casualties or damage.

Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu showed North Korean leader Kim Jong-un three Russian strategic aircraft and the Kinzhal hypersonic missiles deployed on MiG-31K fighters. The demonstration took place during the North Korean leader’s visit to Knevichi airport in Primorye, Russia’s Far East, the Russian Defense Ministry said. The North Korean leader was shown the Tu-160 supersonic strategic bomber, the Tu-95MS turboprop strategic bomber and the Tu-22M3 long-range heavy bomber. The three planes are part of the air component of the Russian strategic nuclear forces, Defense said in a statement. The Russian military also showed Kim the MiG-31I fighter equipped with a Kinzhal hypersonic missile and its command system. According to Moscow, it is an aircraft complex “without analogues in the world” which has proven its effectiveness.

North Korean President Kim Jong Un arrived in Vladivostok in the Russian Far East on Saturday, where he was welcomed by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, state news agency Tass reported.
