Juris Gulbis, who was removed from the position of the Chairman of the Board of the telecommunications company SIA “Tet”, has previously declared that he owns shares in the company JSC “JDKML” with a nominal value of 446,143 euros, according to his public official’s declaration for 2019.

Last year, he received 409,570 euros in salary from “Tet”. Last year, Gulbis also had a savings of 57,324 euros for AS “Pirmais Slēgtais Pensiju Fonds” and 30,703 euros for “Swedbank”.

In 2019, the current manager of “Tet” also made sales for 146,115 euros, two other transactions for a total of 250,341 euros, as well as purchases for 30,315 euros, 20,000 euros, 13,564 euros and 13,021 euros.

Gulbis had also lent 191,396 euros and 28,944 euros.

Also last year, he received 8894 euros from the Latvian branch of Swedbank Life Insurance SE and insurance indemnity from AAS BTA Baltic Insurance Company 5960 euros.

The head of the recalled company rented two apartments last year, he owned an Audi car and a BMW vehicle.

The company reportedly said that despite the fact that no violations had been identified at Gulby’s disposal, Tet’s board and members’ representatives were aware that the indictment casts a shadow over the company’s good reputation and poses long-term reputational risks to the company and future value.

Consequently, the representatives of the Tet members decided to remove Gulbi from the position of the Chairman of the Board, which at the same time means leaving the position of the Chief Executive Officer.

According to the company in a statement to the media, Gulbis also thanked the shareholders “for the trust in 14 years and the team of Tet employees for their work together”.

“I categorically reject once again the accusations against me. My conscience is clear, as evidenced by the assessment of independent experts. However, the future of the company, which I have managed for many years, is important to me, so I respect that A modern, efficient company that pays taxes to the state, employs its employees even during the crisis and has paid shareholders, including the state of Latvia, hundreds of millions in dividends. that the company will continue to maintain the same high level of efficiency, “Gulbis emphasizes in the statement.

As previously reported by TV3’s program “Nekā personīga”, the prosecutor’s office has indicted Gulbis and four other persons for possible participation in fraud in the introduction of digital television, estimating the damage caused to the company in the amount of 7,585,533 euros.
