Last week, fifteen percent fewer corona infections in Amsterdam

The number of people in Amsterdam who tested positive for the corona virus was fifteen percent lower last week than the week before.

The GGD reports this on Tuesday in the weekly update about corona infections in and around Amsterdam. Last week, 533 people in the city tested positive for the virus.

The Nieuw-West district has, with 109 infections, the largest group of new patients. This district did show the largest decrease in absolute numbers this week compared to last week.

In the other municipalities, too, the number of positively tested people decreased (Amstelveen and Aalsmeer) or remained roughly the same compared to week 34 (Diemen, Ouder-Amstel and Uithoorn).
