The last car with damage that was taken by the police on Monday after the death of Tamar from Marken was returned to the owner.
The 14-year-old girl was found dead on 25 July by officers in the shoulder along the dike between Monnickendam and Marken. Brake marks on the road and injuries on her body indicate that she most likely died in a collision.
Three vehicles from Marken and a vehicle from Uitdam with fresh damage were seized during the investigation. “We have spoken with the owners of all cars, but they have never been suspect and are not,” a police spokesperson told NH News.
“It is a serious crime and the investigation is continuing. Dozens of tips are currently being investigated,” the spokesman told the regional broadcaster.
