Slovenian skier Anamaria Lampich returned the second place in the first stage of the Tour de Ski.
The athlete finished second in the classic sprint, but was eventually disqualified for being placed in sixth place. American Jessica Diggins finished second, Swede Frieda Carlsson – the third.
The Slovenian national team filed a protest and the International Ski Federation (FIS) canceled Lampic’s suspension, replacing it with a yellow card.
Now Diggins has moved up to third in the race, while Karlsson is in fourth.
The overall Tour de Ski score will be recounted prior to the start of today’s freestyle pursuit.
