Bright flowers and colors: the caring dress

Among the iconic dresses on display at the Kensington Palace Orangery, there is also the one known as caring dress. This is a colorful floral dress on a blue background designed for Lady Diana from the fashion house Bellville Sassoon. The name (Italian: thoughtful dress) comes from the fact that the princess liked to wear it for visits to hospitals or to children. He argued that bright, vibrant colors were particularly suited to instilling joy. Instead of a hat, as expected by the designer, he preferred to accessorize it with flashy costume jewelery, especially necklaces, which would attract the attention of the little ones.
