The loss of the shipyards was a tragedy in its time.

“The loss of the RO-RO maritime transport line which linked France to Turkey from our city was also a tragedy. We are still feeling the economic effects of these catastrophic losses. These past tragedies must not be repeated. Our future is again threatened by the more than worrying situation of the CNIM group.
The future of the 1000 employees of its Seynoise establishment is at stake today. We cannot accept the dismantling of this economic flagship of the SOUTH region. We must work collectively to save this business. Jobs and skills must remain and continue to develop in La Seyne sur mer. Our city cannot always be subject to chaos, and the port territory of Brégaillon cannot become an economic desert. The CNIM group is the locomotive of the Mer competitiveness cluster of the Toulon Provence Mediterranean Metropolis.
On its own, this burning issue in the social news of our city, should force us to rally, invite us to the union – Nathalie Bicais, Sandra Torres and me, and our respective teams – in order to weigh, to act with of our relationships, our socio-economic networks, our institutional partners, and allowing the maintenance of this business.
I proposed solutions for the rescue of the RO-RO line by directing transport via Senegal and Tunisia.
These contacts are still current, and we will find others, together, to help CNIM employees.
There were generations of shipyards, we are now children of the CNIM generation.
We’ll be stronger together.
A few weeks before the second round of the municipal elections, let’s manage the fight for the CNIM group together! It is up to us to show how many “politicians” can unite to develop a municipal territory.
This strong gesture is awaited by the population ”.
