Due to the outbreak of the corona crisis, Limburg hospitals are now behind thousands of operations. Regular care is also not yet at the old level. At Zuyderland, at least 4,500 operations are still on the list. Acute care has continued, but people with less acute complaints have to wait a long time. Zuyderland wants to catch up by working extra days. Other hospitals in our province have also had to cancel operations. At the MUMC + in Maastricht, waiting times for some operations are increasing considerably. We will talk about it further with David Jongen, chairman of the board of Zuyderland.
