Kurhäuser are closed; All of Tyrol in quarantine; 1,843 CoV cases in Austria

The New York Stock Exchange will switch completely to electronic trading from Monday. It is a precaution to protect employees, it said in a message from the world’s largest stock exchange on Wednesday evening (local time).

“Our markets are fully capable of working fully electronically,” NYSE director Stacey Cunningham said. According to US media reports, there had previously been two confirmed coronavirus infections on Wall Street.

“As we take the precautionary step of closing the trading rooms, we remain firmly convinced that the markets should remain open and accessible to investors,” added Cunningham.

All of the NYSE markets would continue to operate during normal trading hours despite the closure of the trading floor.
