The covid-19 pandemic is not only not slowing down, but it is taking California to record numbers, reaching 200,476 this Friday, according to the newspaper’s count of San Jose Mercury News.

In the Golden State, 5,052 new cases were detected on Thursday and another 81 deaths. The death toll reached 5,804 and more than half of them occurred in Los Angeles County. The figures of the California Department of Public Health they only accounted for 195,571 as of June 25.

Hospitalizations also continue to increase in California. The 4,240 hospitalized patients who have tested positive for the virus are the maximum the state has had, 24% more than a week ago, while another 1,282 people are suspected of having the virus.
