Over 35 handicraft stands are registered. From pottery and turned items, (children’s) clothing and felt design, jewelry and bags, illustrations and watercolors to salt, spices and soap, the range on October 3, 2021 is wide. You can watch some craftsmen at work, e.g. grinding glass, turning, forging, pottery or spinning.
Children’s program
The children can try out various crafts: punching (stamping) leather, forging, turning, pottery or soap. A Kamishibai narrative theater takes place in the fairy tale tent and Christian Brandes’ magical arts not only amaze the little guests. A clown show can be admired on stage. Ghosts are hunted in their castle with the Pömpel crossbow and the older ones practice archery. In addition to the trampoline, soap bubbles and make-up, there is a quest. The term comes from the Middle Ages and describes an adventurous search – a kind of scavenger hunt with riddles. Fresh apple juice can be pressed with the Klein Hundorf forest kindergarten.
Music and acrobatics
Acrobats will move across the square and enrich market life with walking acts, walking on stilts and (chair) acrobatics. And have you ever seen a tightrope walker balancing over bottles? A swinging rock’n roll duo provides musical variety. The crowning glory is a fire show and the multicultural band Makatumbe. She and her international guests combine elements of global urban pop music to create their own energetic sound.
Culinary
The physical well-being is not neglected either. There is a cake buffet for those with a sweet tooth. The pizza comes fresh from the clay oven and the soup ingredients from local solidarity agriculture. Falafel complete the offer. There are drinks hot and cold, with and without alcohol.
