This action was organized by the Latvian Civic Alliance, its coordinator in Kuldīga was Maija Jankovska. Even afterwards, a large part of the participants went to Lithuania, where a chain of people will join hands from the Lithuanian capital Vilnius to the border with Belarus, with the participation of residents from all three Baltic States. The campaign in Lithuania will start at seven in the evening.

“Currently, I do not know the number of people who will go to Lithuania from Kuldiga,” M. Jankovska explained to Kurzeme. “We will only know the real number while we are there, but I hope there will be a lot of participants on our part.”

Her face mask, as it will have to be for each participant, was covered on the one hand by Latvia and on the other by the colors of the historical national flag of Belarus, as the white-red-white flag served as the flag of the independent state of Belarus from 1918 to 1919. also from 1991 to 1995.
