The National Aviation University was headed by Ksenia Semenova.
This is the new head of the university reported in “Facebook”.
“As of today, I am acting as rector of NAU. This is the first time that the Ministry of Education and Science makes such a decision based on the recommendation of the Supervisory Board,” Semenova wrote.
She noted that she is not a person of this system.
“I don’t understand the value of formal titles behind which there is nothing, rigid hierarchy, status, inappropriate bureaucracy, attribution of authors who did not write anything in the article, plagiarism. Those who have been with me for a long time, you know that we and several active people have been trying to make changes in NAU since 2015 and I have never been out of context. But then there was no will of the state for this,” said Semenova.
The new head of the university noted that now the position of the state regarding NAU is to make a good engineering university.
“The supervisory board is real, it works and it makes decisions. The head of the National People’s Republic is Chernyshov, a person also from a scientific family, but from business. The project is coordinated by the government – Mykhailo Fedorov. Everyone is following what is happening. Everything looks like a “when, if not now” moment, Semenova wrote.
According to her, NAU has great potential and it was very painful to watch the university being destroyed over the past 10 years. Now, as Semenova noted, a huge number of professionals and graduates of NAU are ready to join the reform of the university.
- In the summer of last year, the Minister of Education and Science, Oksen Lisovyi, signed an order on announcement of reprimand to NAU rector Maksym Lutskyi. The minister noted that Lutsky did not indicate in his annual report information about the level of achievement of the institution’s performance targets set by the contract. This is a violation of education legislation and contract requirements.
- In September 2023, LB.ua learned that the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine decided to reorganize the National Aviation University. From the legal entity of NAU, two institutions will be formed, which should become key centers of the development of the Ukrainian aviation industry.
