Kristen Stewart Was Very Nervous For Role In ‘Diana’ Movie: “I Couldn’t Get My Jaws Apart” | Movie

FilmKristen Stewart (31) was so nervous to play Princess Diana in the new cinema film ‘Spencer’ that she couldn’t part her jaws two weeks before the shooting. That tells the American actress to BBC News.

Stewart confesses that she suffered from TMD, a temporary stress disorder that restricts jaw movement. “I was like, ‘Okay, I think I’m really, really nervous.’ I really struggled with the start of filming,” he said candidly. Thanks to director Pablo Larrain, it turned out okay, she told Stewart to “relax and have faith in the process and in her preparation.”

Before the film, Stewart knew little about the British princess who died in a car accident in Paris in 1997. “I didn’t have the best knowledge about this royal family,” she continues. “I didn’t grow up with these kinds of stories.” To prepare, she rewatched interviews, read books and watched ‘The Crown’ on Netflix. “I tried to take her in as purely and generally as possible and then trust that Diana would come to me naturally.”

‘Spencer’, which will premiere at Film Fest Gent on October 14, focuses on the three days around Christmas that Princess Diana spent with the British royal family in 1991. It is the last Christmas period before her divorce from Prince Charles.
