Thiruvananthapuram: Poet Sugathakumari has been admitted to the Medical College Hospital after contracting Kovid. She was being treated on a ventilator at a private hospital in the capital. From there he was transferred to the Medical College Hospital.
The main problem is shortness of breath following broncho pneumonia. He was examined by a team of specialist doctors at the medical college and transferred to intensive care. Treatment is with the help of non-invasive ventilation (tubeless ventilation). Hospital Superintendent Dr MS Sharma said his condition was “satisfactory”.
