However, “Active Users” explained that due to the more expensive eggs this year, the price of real kozunak may be about 50% higher compared to last year.

“Commodities often jump before holidays, so if necessary there will be an update, but it won’t be a big one. I guess it will be below 2-3% compared to last year,” explains Nevena Aivazova, owner of a bakery.
“If the respective master’s recipe includes enough eggs, then the cost will jump. I wouldn’t buy a kozunak with a shelf life of six months. This is something else like a product,” Bogomil Nikolov, executive director of the Association “Active Users”, commented on the topic.
