The Korean Medical Association’s Public Health Support Team announced on the 3rd that it has formed a vaccination support team to participate in the government’s new coronavirus infection (Corona 19) vaccination project.

In order to operate the vaccination support team, the medical association decided to appoint an executive in charge of vaccines from 16 municipal and provincial medical associations across the country. In accordance with the government’s vaccination plan, local governments and local doctors will work together to discuss details and support vaccination.

The medical association said that the Disaster Medical Support Team of the Public Health Medical Support Group is supporting the efficient deployment of doctors in screening clinics, life treatment centers, and hospitals dedicated to infectious diseases.

In particular, the Disaster Medical Support Team is preparing a system for matching by linking the government’s 250 vaccination centers across the country and 1,200 doctors who have already applied.

An official from the medical association said, “The 1,200 people applied to the disaster medical support team to take over the corona 19 diagnostic tests at screening clinics, etc.” Explained.

The medical association stated that the issues such as maintaining the number of vaccinations less than 100 per doctor per doctor and whether to be held accountable for the occurrence of side effects after vaccination must be resolved so that the vaccine vaccination can be safely performed. The Korea Medical Association insists on exempting medical staff and medical institutions from liability in case of accidents or medical disputes related to vaccination.
