Korda wins in Atlanta and passes world No. 1, Boutier 7th

Nelly Korda of the United States became number one in golf by winning the PGA Championship on Sunday at the Atlanta Athletic Club, ahead of her compatriot Lizette Salas.

Korda, 22, daughter of former Czech tennis champion Petr Korda, is the first American to conquer the world’s top golf course since 2014.

The French Céline Boutier, who signed a last card of 75, is classified in 7th position.
