Senior singer Koes Hendratmo passed away on Tuesday (7/9). He breathed his last at the age of 78.
Koes Hendratmo is a singer whose name is widely known by the Indonesian people.
Men born February 9, 1943 has released a number of studio albums, such as Lambuan Bunga (1959), Sansaro (1968), Wanita Wanita (1970), Legendary Batak Pop (2000), and My Love for You (2011).
Apart from music, Koes is also very well known as a presenter. He has acted in a number of shows, both on television and off-air.
One of the programs that is well known to the public is ‘Berpacu Dalam Melodi’, which was a popular show in 1988. It was also the event that catapulted his name in the Indonesian television world.
Race In Melody is a show where participants guess the title of the song. The program was broadcast on TVRI in 1988-1998 and in 2013-2014.
In addition to appearing as a presenter at the event, Koes Hendratmo also briefly became a presenter at several other events such as PESTA which aired on private TV stations in 2014.
After that, Koes Hendratmo rarely appeared on television. He actively fills in various events to become a guest star for several radio broadcasts.

Apart from his career as a successful singer, Koes Hendratmo is the father of singer Bonita and Anda Perdana from his marriage to Herdawati Bakrie.
Then they divorced and Koes Hendratmo married Aprilia Puspitawati. The two made a sweet vow of marriage on January 14, 2007 at the Central Java pavilion, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah.
In the 14th year of marriage, Koes Hendratmo had to let go of his beloved wife, Aprilia Puspitawati who died on Thursday (20/5). He died at the age of 52 at the Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital, Central Jakarta.
Now, the sad news regarding Koes Hendratmo has been confirmed by Nia, the manager of Bonita, son of Koes Hendratmo.
“That’s right, Ms. Bonita’s father (Koes Hendratmo) died,” said Nia, Bonita’s manager to CNNIndonesia.com, Tuesday (7/9).
Nia also revealed the possible cause of Koes Hendratmo’s death.
“It is possible that he died of heart disease. He does have a history of heart disease,” Nia continued.
Koes leaves three children, two of whom follow Koes’ career in the music industry, they are Anda Perdana and Bonita.
