BARCELONA – New coach Barcelona, Ronald Koeman, was given the freedom by management to bring in new players in the 2020 summer transfer market. According to a Sport report, Monday (24/8/2020), there are three priority players who are trying to bring in.
The three names in question are Lautaro Martinez (Inter Milan, striker), Eric Garcia (center-back, Manchester City) and Jose Gaya (left fullback, Valencia). The pursuit of the three names above is not surprising.
(Eric Garcia hunted by Barcelona)
This is because Barcelona is preparing to release three players who have the same position as the footballers above. They are striker Luis Suarez, defender Gerard Pique and left fullback Jordi Alba.
Revolution or massive change has been heralded by the president of Barcelona, Josep Maria Bartomeu. The first thing Bartomeu did in this revolution was dismissing coach Quique Setien on Tuesday, August 18, 2020, WIB.
A few hours later, it was the turn of the sporting director, Eric Abidal, to resign. Then on Wednesday 19 August 2020, Barcelona officially introduced their new coach, Ronald Koeman.
Bartomeu had high hopes for Koeman. If Barcelona scores poorly in the 2020-2021 season, Bartomeu may no longer be elected president of Barcelona in the general election held on March 15, 2021.
