scientific employee
(if the personal requirements E 13 TV-L are met) to be filled by September 30, 2024 (duration of employment according to WissZeitVG), with 75% of the regular weekly working hours. There is an opportunity to gain further scientific qualification (usually a doctorate).
Tasks: As part of a dedicated team, you will be involved in teaching and research as well as in the various tasks of the professorship administration. In teaching, you will be involved in the conception and organization of lectures, exercises and seminars at the Bachelor and Master’s level and you will also hold your own events. Research tasks include, in particular, working on (international) publications and third-party funded projects (including their application). The research of the professorship is quantitative-empirical and focuses in particular on approaches to relationship marketing with applications in the field of technology and service marketing. Your actual focus is on teaching and teaching administration, but you will also be involved in other areas.
Requirements: Excellent scientific university degree (master’s or diploma course) in the field of business administration (if possible with a focus on marketing), especially young professionals. Because of the quantitative-empirical orientation of the professorship, a very good knowledge of statistics (especially multivariate analysis methods) is a prerequisite, including their application in SPSS. You also have a very good command of English and German and a keen interest in scientific issues in marketing. In addition to professional qualifications, you are able to work in a team, are open (especially towards interdisciplinary activities at the interface between business administration and other disciplines (engineering, natural sciences, etc.) and enjoy teaching / or work on third-party funded projects (e.g. as a student assistant, tutor, …).
