Knicks and Nets to donate 1 million face masks to New York City

The New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets have teamed up for a good cause and both franchises will donate one million face masks to be distributed to essential workers throughout New York City, reports the outlet. ESPN NY.

The owner of the Nets, Joseph Tsai, and his wife, Clara Wu Tsai, have also wanted to collaborate with 1,000 breathing apparatus for New York hospitals and that they can help patients combat the symptoms of the Coronavirus.

“This is a huge issue and it is going to make a significant difference for everyone,” Governor Andrew Cuomo said.

Tsai, owner of the Alibaba group, and who bought 51% of shares in the Nets, has previously contributed another million masks along with 500 kits for rapid tests.

“The entire Alibaba group has been helping New York hospitals, obtaining these high-quality, certified tests. I know that they are in continuous conversations with the rest of the governments of the world. We all know they are behind all of this, ”said general manager Sean Marks of Tsai’s work.
