German manager Jurgen Klopp praised the “exceptional” performance of Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, who scored three goals in a “hat-trick” during Glasgow Rangers’ 7-1 Champions League victory.
Salah participated from the bench and scored three goals in 6 minutes and 12 seconds, the fastest hat-trick in Champions League history.
Roberto Firmino scored two goals, Darwin Nunez and Harvey Elliott added the other two, after Scott Warfield gave Rangers a goal.
Liverpool only need one point in their last two group stage games, against Ajax Amsterdam and Napoli, to advance to the playoffs.
“We had really constructive talks between the two halves of the match, we wanted more in the second half, it worked perfectly,” Klopp told BT Sport.
“It was exceptional, especially from Mo, it was very important how we adapted to the positions, everyone who started the game played really well, Fabio, Carvalho and Harvey.”
“It’s the best we can ask for and I feel really satisfied,” he said.
