KKB Member Attacking Plane in Papua Mountains Shot Dead by Sniper

Member Armed Criminal Group (KKB) who attacked a logistics plane in Oksibil, Papua Mountains was shot dead. KKB member led by Ananias Ati Mimim was shot dead by sniper from a distance of 800 meters.

Head of Public Relations Task Force for Peace Ops Cartenz 2023 AKBP Bayu Suseno confirmed that the sniper team had shot dead members KKB That. The perpetrator was shot from a distance of 800 meters.

“It’s true, our sniper team managed to shoot dead one of the KKB members, whom we shot from a distance of 800 meters when they shot at a logistics plane passing at the height of Oksibil,” said Head of the Cartenz 2023 Peace Ops Public Relations Task Force AKBP Bayu Suseno as reported by detikSulsel, Thursday (21/9).

The KKB member was shot dead in Oksibil District on Thursday (21/9) at around 16.00 WIT. Bayu said that his party had been pursuing them for 3 days after the consecutive attacks carried out by KKB in the Bintang Mountains.

2. Bullet Penetrates the Chest

Bayu mentioned the members KKB was injured by gunfire and died. The bullet is said to have penetrated the perpetrator’s chest.

“It can be seen from binoculars that the KKB member was injured by gunfire from our sniper team. Trusted sources said the perpetrator was shot in the hand and chest through the back and his condition was seriously injured,” said Bayu.
