KOMPAS.com – A number of buildings in Dambet Village, District Lively, Puncak Regency, Papua, allegedly burned armed criminal group (KKB) on Saturday (17/4/2021) morning.
Head of the Beoga Sector Police (Kapolsek) Ipda Ali Akbar said the KKB burned the Dambet Elementary School (SD) building.
In addition, several houses belonging to the chief of the Ener Tinal tribe and several official houses were not spared from the action burning.

“It is true, there was an arson against the KKB, but there were no casualties,” he said when contacted by Kompas.com, Saturday.
Quoted from Antara, the burnt house of the Dambet Tribe Chief also functions as a kiosk or warung.
“Meanwhile, the Dambet Elementary School building did not have time to sell out because the residents had driven and extinguished the fire, so only the door caught fire,” said Ali.

Quite far from the center of Beoga
Ali said the distance between the location of the incident and the center of Beoga was quite far.
This resulted in insufficient time for security personnel to take action.
“The distance to Dambet village is about 3 kilometers to Beoga on foot,” he explained.
The arson was only three days after KKB was beaten back from the Beoga Airport area.

On Thursday (15/4/2021), 100 members of the Nemangkawi Task Force landed at Beoga.
This team is in Beoga to take action against the KKB led by Sabinus Waker and Lekagak Telenggen who are suspected of having been uproar in the area since April 8, 2021.
“Yesterday (14/4/2021) 50 TNI personnel were already in Beoga, 50 personnel had also been dispatched from the National Police. So there are 100 joint personnel in Beoga,” explained the Deputy of the Task Force (Wakasatgas) Nemangkawi Public Relations. AKBP Arif Fajar Satria in a written statement, Thursday (15/4/2021).

Since April 8, KKB has launched a number of actions in Beoga.
They allegedly shot two teachers, namely Oktovianus Rayo (teacher at SD Inpres Beoga) and Yonathan Randen (teacher at SMP Negeri 1 Beoga).
