There were probably many who raised an eyebrow or two when it became known that Princess Diana niece Kitty Spencer (30) had found happiness with the 32 year older billionaire and businessman Michael Lewis (62).
She is the daughter of the deceased princess’ younger brother, Charles Spencer (57), and has since childhood had a central place in the British spotlight due to her close ties to the royal family. The 30-year-old model stole including all the headlines for the outfit she wore in her cousin Prince Harry’s (36) wedding in May 2018.
On luxury holiday with 62-year-old
Last weekend, however, it was Kitty’s turn to stand white bride. Then she married the 32-year-old rich man in a glamorous and lavish celebrity wedding just outside Rome in Italy.
The newlyweds were first connected in 2018, and already at Christmas time the following year they got engaged. In other words, things have gone smoothly for the British couple’s new couple, but how did Princess Diana’s niece actually meet the 32-year-old multibillionaire?
The fairytale romance got its small start four years ago, when they met through mutual friends.

The society couple has all the way protected their privacy, and not exactly revealed about the love affair in the press. Thus, we also do not have first-hand information about how they met each other, but something is publicly known.
Rumors of a romance began circulating in late summer 2018, according to Evening Standard. Then the British tabloid newspaper Mail on Sunday published an article stating that Kitty Spencer had spent a lot of time with the South African billionaire after they were introduced to each other by the former British Minister of Defense Liam Fox (59).

In May of the following year, they were photographed together in public for the first time. The paparazzi photographers had heard that the duo were in Manhattan, New York, and were lying in wait when Spencer and Lewis left the luxury hotel The Mark Hotel separately and got into a waiting car.

This was followed by several romantic trips, including a holiday to the jet-setter town of Saint-Tropez on the French Riviera. There, they were observed kissing outside one of the city’s hottest nightclubs for international celebrities, Club 55.
Engagement
A few months later, rumors of a possible engagement began to circulate. The starting shot for the flood of rumors went in November, when Spencer was pictured in the streets of London with what many thought was an engagement ring.
Right after the New Year in 2020, it became clear that The 62-year-old had made peace just before Christmas, when they were on holiday in Cape Town in Lewis’ homeland South Africa. The diamond ring he proposed to is said to have had a value of a staggering 300,000 British pounds, according to the Evening Standard. This corresponds to well over three million Norwegian kroner.
After this, it was quiet from the couple for a long time, before Princess Diana’s niece in May this year spoke out in a rare interview with the magazine Town and Country.
There she revealed, among other things, why she keeps a low profile in the spotlight and does not like to talk about her private life in public.
– I feel less vulnerable when I do not discuss things such as my love life. I think, “No one else has anything to do with it,” Spencer told the magazine, adding:
– Who I love or do not love, or who I am in love with or not in love with, or go on a date with, I do not understand why there should be something people read about with their breakfast. As long as I keep it holy, it can stay that way. As soon as I do not do it, I do not think you can get it back.

Five wedding dresses
Despite the fact that Kitty Spencer apparently does everything to keep her privacy away from the press, headlines about her keep popping up. Like last weekend, when she surprised “everyone” by marrying 32-year-old Lewis in a star-studded wedding at the castle Villa Aldobrandini in the city of Frascati, near Rome.
Stars such as artist Pixie Lott (30), Idris Elba’s wife Sabrina Elba and Elon Musk’s mother, Maye Musk, were present at the wedding. There were also a large number of friends and family members of the bride and groom, but not all.
The bride’s father shone with his absence. Many responded that the 30-year-old was accompanied to the altar by his brothers Louis Spencer (27) and Samuel Aitken (18).
It is uncertain why Charles Spencer did not attend, but unconfirmed reports suggest it is due to a shoulder injury.
Kitty Spencer wore five different dresses from exclusive Dolce & Gabbana during the wedding weekend, a brand she is an ambassador for. She was married in a Victorian-inspired white dress with lace, puffed sleeves and a long veil.
