King Mohammed VI orders humanitarian aid to be sent to Lebanon

His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, today gave his High Instructions for the dispatch of emergency medical and humanitarian aid to the Lebanese Republic, following the tragic explosion in the port of Beirut, causing several victims and significant material damage.

The Sovereign thus gave His High Instructions for the dispatch and deployment in Beirut of a military field hospital in order to provide emergency medical care to the populations injured in this incident.

This field hospital is made up of 100 people, including 14 doctors from various specialties (resuscitators, surgeons, traumatologists, ENT specialists, ophthalmologists, treatment of burns, neurosurgeons, pediatricians, pharmacist), specialist nurses and support elements. It will house an operating theater, hospitalization, radiology and sterilization units, a laboratory and a pharmacy.

Moroccan aid also includes a batch of first-aid medicines, food products (canned food, legumes, powdered milk, oil, sugar, etc.), tents and blankets for accommodation. disaster victims. It also includes medical equipment to prevent Covid-19, including protective masks, visors, charlottes, gowns and hydro-alcoholic gel. His Majesty King Mohammed VI sent a message of condolence and compassion to the President of the Lebanese Republic, Mr. Michel Aoun, on Tuesday, in which the Sovereign expresses, in His name and on behalf of the Moroccan people, His sincere feelings of compassion and solidarity with Lebanon in these difficult times, assuring it that the Kingdom of Morocco stands steadily alongside the brotherly Lebanese people.
