“Patience is a virtue,” says Kim-Lian. On Instagram she tells that her boyfriend Daniel has finally asked her the question after ’17 years of dating. According to the post, the couple will go on a ‘mountain bike ride’ together every week. But suddenly this time they stopped at their ‘favorite spot by the sea’, because the Swede wanted to surprise his Dutch girlfriend. “There was a table with red roses, champagne and a box with a beautiful ring,” says Kim-Lian.

Kim-Lian and her sweetheart loved how ‘beautiful’ it was. “Windless, rippling water, the sun slowly setting and he got down on one knee,” she explains. ‘We were both so impressed by the moment that we laughed with nerves. It got even more uncomfortable when a woman walked past with her dog. We took advantage of the moment and asked her to take a picture.
