The alleged Iranian US spy Mahmud Musawi Madschd is to be executed “soon”. The Iranian judge Gholamhossein Esmaili announced in Tehran.
The man had been sentenced to death for spying on him US drone attack on the influential Iranian general Qasem Soleimani were accused (read a portrait of Soleimani here). The death sentence was upheld by the highest Iranian court. Mahmud Musawi Madschd spied on the Iranian military and passed on information about Soleimani’s whereabouts. For this he had collected large sums of money from the secret services of the United States and Israel.

Soleimani was responsible for operations abroad Quds brigades commanded by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards. The influential general was deliberately killed by a U.S. drone in Baghdad on January 3. The conflict between the archenemies of the USA and Iran this intensified dramatically. The government in Washington justified the deadly attack by the fact that Soleimani had planned attacks on US facilities.
