Kidnapped for 23 days, children with special needs raped by meatball workers up to 14 times

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Yusri Yunus said, the child with special needed with the initials A, who was kidnapped by a meatball worker with the initials PBA was raped up to 14 times.

That happened during A was kidnapped for 23 days by PBA and held in the Sunter area, North Jakarta to Boyolali, Central Java to Jombang, East Java from 8 to 30 September 2020.

“A total of 14 times this was done to the victim. This was from the 8th (victim) was taken away by the suspect until the last arrest was 23 days,” said Yusri during the release broadcast online, Monday (5/10/2020).

Yusri explained that during that time A was also held in a boarding house by PBA. Meanwhile, PBA is engaged in the meatball trading activity around.

“Indeed, this suspect worked every day selling meatballs. The victim was kept and locked in a boarding house,” said Yusri.

During that time, A had asked and asked PBA to return to Jakarta.

However, the PBA did not grant it on the grounds that it was collecting money for transportation to Jakarta.

“At one point, the victim asked to come back, but the reason (PBA) just wait a moment until the money collected will be returned to Jakarta again,” said Yusri.

PBA’s arrest began with a report of a missing person namely A to Polda Metro Jaya on September 24, 2020.

A has reportedly not returned home in the Sunter area, North Jakarta, since September 8, 2020.

The police also conducted an investigation by examining the CCTV footage at where A was last.

From the recording, it can be seen that PBA brought A on a motorbike from the Lake Sunter area, North Jakarta.

PBA also committed sexual abuse twice against A in his contraption not far from the kidnapping location.

After that, PBA took A to Boyolali, Central Java before finally heading to Jombang, East Java.

From PBA’s arrest, the police managed to secure a number of pieces of evidence such as several pieces of clothing, two CCTV footage, and a motorcycle.

The PBA is subject to Article 76 E Jo Article 82 and or Article 76 F Jo Article 83 of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 35 of 2014 on Child Protection with the maximum threat of 15 years imprisonment.
