An employee of a Limburg CDA faction ran into the lamp after he posted on Facebook a supporter of Kick Out Zwarte Piet laughed. Jeroen van Eijkelenburg, candidate councilor for CDA Meerssen, has removed the controversial message by order of his own faction. “We have nothing to do with this and think it is scandalous what our member has written on Facebook”, council member Agnes Jonkhout told this site.

Van Eijkelenburg responded under a Facebook message from this site, which stated that Aytmara Hersisia, a supporter of Kick Out Zwarte Piet, was surrounded by hundreds of opponents at the protest in Maastricht. Van Eijkelenburg turned directly to Hersisia. “The name of the person is really Dutch. I don’t like it when foreign people speak in their own language ”, wrote Van Eijkelenburg in his funny response.

Disgust
The message that has since been deleted was replied with disgust. “Gosh, what a childish reaction”, someone wrote. Another lashed out too hard. “They will be proud of you at the CDA. Do you report your racist thoughts there too? ” It is not entirely clear what exactly Van Eijkelenburg means, but for CDA councilor Agnes Jonkhout it does cross borders. “This is really unheard of. We will immediately address him about this. This does not belong in our group. ” Van Eijkelenburg has informed Jonkhout by text message that he has removed the message. It is not clear whether this has settled the matter.

Kick Out Zwarte Piet is disgusted by the employee’s message. “It’s been like that in politics for years. Price shootings without consequences ”, spokesman Elvin Rigters sighs. “It doesn’t even surprise me anymore. This is so deeply rooted in Dutch society, and unfortunately also in municipal politics. I wonder if any lessons are learned from this at all. I don’t expect so. This will have no consequences. ”

Rigters mainly has to do with Aytmara Hersisia, the woman who was taunted by the CDA employee. “She has already had a horrible day, and then she also gets this online choice for her from someone you should not expect. I am speechless, really. ”
