This Wednesday the keys to the third qualifying round were defined for the Champions League 2021-22. The Sheriff Tiraspol of Moldova gave the surprise and defeated (3-1) Alashkert of Armenia with a goal from the Peruvian defender Gustavo Dulanto. Now, the Moldovan team will have to meet forces with the Red Star, one of the most representative teams of Serbia.
Denmark’s Midtjylland was another of the clubs that surprised on this Champions League knockout round after leaving the historic Celtic of Scotland on the road. The Danish side prevailed in overtime and their next rival will be PSV of the Netherlands.
For its part, Romania’s Cluj also advanced after beating Gibraltar’s Lincoln. Olympiacos of Greece had no problems against Neftci Baku and also made it to the next round, while Ludogorets of Bulgaria and Sparta Prague were equally fated.
