Kysre Gondrezick, the ex-girlfriend of Kevin Porter Jr., said the former Houston Rockets guard was involved in a fight at a New York City hotel last month that led to his arrest. “He didn’t hit me!”
Kysre Gondrezick told the New York Post on Tuesday: “He never made a fist and hit me, and he definitely didn’t punch me in the face multiple times. That’s a lie, and I don’t have any injuries to back that up.”
Kevin Porter Jr. was arrested after the alleged attack and was initially charged with multiple felonies, including assault and strangulation. However, Manhattan prosecutors dropped the charges on Monday after admitting Porter did not cause Kysre Gondrezick’s cervical spine fracture during the incident. One count of assault.
Kevin Porter Jr. still faces charges of second-degree strangulation and third-degree assault, to which he has pleaded not guilty.
A police spokesman said shortly after the alleged attack, officers learned Kysre Gondrezick had been cut on the right side of his face and complained of neck pain. She was taken to hospital for evaluation.
Kysre Gondrezick said: “The prosecutor released the details of her injuries without waiting to question her. It happened very quickly and did not reach the level of reporting. The argument in the room did not even last 10 seconds.”
