Ketum Projo Relive Jokowi’s 3 Period Discourse!

Head of Ormas Projo Budi Arie Setiabudi revived the discourse of President Jokowi’s 3 periods which had been buried. Budi Arie stated that the possibility for President Jokowi to continue his term remained.

“If the metaphor is a race, 2024 has many sharp corners, because there are still many possibilities. In that race we cannot predict who will win on the last lap. UI Political Communications expert Effendi Gazali, who was also the source of the discussion, then threw a number of talks related to the 2024 presidential election, one of which was about the possibility of Jokowi running as a vice presidential candidate. However, Budi Arie dismissed the discourse.

Budi Arie then talked about the differences in political agendas and political possibilities. He also discussed the stages of the 2024 General Election.

“Has the election budget been tapped yet? Not yet. Not yet. Scheduling is okay, as a process that is still ongoing, Projo is also still in the 2024 scenario,” he said, speaking about the 2024 election budget not yet being determined, even though the process is already underway.

Budi Arie then spoke about his perspective on the subject of his 3rd period of life. According to him, Jokowi has set a high standard of leadership, while the current nation’s leader candidates are still far from Jokowi’s standards.

“The condition of this nation is facing the fact that, with all due respect, Pak Jokowi provides a high benchmark of national leadership, how come this is his replacement, sorry, the score is a bit far from Pak Jokowi, people think why not just 3 periods,” he explained.

However, he realized that the discourse of the 3rd period would meet a steep road. However, for Budi Arie, the 3 terms of President Jokowi are still possible.

“We don’t say that this (3 periods, ed) is a political agenda, but we say that these 3 periods are political possibilities,” he said.
