Kerala’s largest Maradona sculpture is ready to be unveiled

KayThe largest sculpture of Maradona in Ralam is ready to be unveiled in Kannur. Under the guidance of sculptor N Manoj Kumar, the full body clay figure of the Argentine legend was completed. The height of this sculpture is seven and a half feet.

According to Manoj Kumar, the sculpture was completed by observing Maradona’s videos, images and live model poses and it was imperative that the form embody his energy and dynamism in structure and form.

Since Maradona was passionate about world football, he avoided signs of the country and the country and gave importance to the sculptural language. Samjot Echur and Prajil Varam worked as assistants in the construction.
