New Delhi: Kerala’s affidavit in the Supreme Court strongly criticized the Center regarding the economic crisis. Kerala criticizes the central argument that the wealth situation will collapse due to Kerala’s borrowing as baseless.

The Center owns 60 percent of the country’s total debt. Kerala also points out that only 1.75 percent of this is Kerala’s debt. The financial management of the center is also poor. The Center has raised the allegation with narrow mindedness. Experts including Amartya Sen have praised the Kerala model. Kerala’s situation cannot be compared with other states. Kerala has pointed out in the Supreme Court that the Center is making allegations by hiding many facts.

The Attorney General had given a detailed note to the Supreme Court on the issue related to Kerala’s borrowing. Kerala has filed a reply affidavit in the Supreme Court replying to the matters stated in this note.
