Kenza Ameloot elected Miss Belgium 2024

Miss Belgium

Emilie Vansteenkiste passed on the crown to Kenza Ameloot on Saturday during a live show in the Plopsatheater in De Panne. After a tumultuous edition in 2023, the evening went off without a hitch again this year.

Kenza Ameloot was one of the favorites from the start of the match. The 22-year-old from Sint-Amandsberg speaks three languages fluently and works as a model. Estelle Toulemonde and Julie Mortier complete the places of honor and become Miss Wallonia and Miss Flanders respectively.

The new miss is studying International Business and is in her third year at university. Her mother fled the genocide in Rwanda, her father is Belgian. During the interview she indicated that she wanted to work for children with mental problems. “I was lucky that everything turned out okay, but I also want to be a pillar of support for other children. If you do well mentally, you will also do better at school, at university and at your job.”

Former Miss Chayenne van Aarle also had her moment on the podium in a postponed relay during this edition. A week before the 2023 election, she was involved in a serious traffic accident, which meant she could not pass on her crown. The former miss performed her version of ABBA’s ‘The winner takes it all’. She was very sorry that she would not be there in 2023, but was happy to be able to experience this edition: “they are all beautiful women, it is a very strong year”.
