Keanu Reeves steals the show in new ‘Spongebob’ on Netflix

Originally, this live action animation film was intended as a cinema film, but has recently become available The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run on Netflix. The first reviews have now appeared online.

SpongeBob: Come to the rescue from director Tim Hill and is a sequel to the previous SpongeBob films The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie from 2004 and The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water from 2015. At the time of writing, the comedy is on a pretty neat 71% on Rotten Tomatoes’ Tomatometer after 7 reviews.

Better by Keanu Reeves
“The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run is no more than the sum of its parts, but it is still a fun adventure for fans of all ages, and well worth watching because of Keanu Reeves,” said the reviewer of ComicBookMovie.com.

“Life has been tough for a few months now, and this crazy, subversive and super fun cartoon is just what the doctor ordered,” reports Anne Brodie of What She Said. And at Digital Spy they say the following: “We never thought SpongeBob SquarePants could be the savior of 2020, but like the character itself, it (kind of) makes sense this year.”

Now on Netflix
