Actor Keanu Reeves was unexpectedly caught up in a bizarre police welfare check incident recently. Apparently, someone called the LA police to check on a 27-year-old woman whom they had not heard from in a while. The police were given a name and a pretty complete description and when they knocked on the door of the address they were given, they found John Wick instead. Thankfully, Keanu was cool about the whole thing and had no knowledge of the woman in question. It is yet unknown if the caller got the address wrong, or the police did, or if this was a prank call. Nonetheless, this incident highlights the importance of verifying information before making such calls. If the police were doing a welfare check and nobody answered the door things could have gone in a very different direction. Let’s hope for everyone’s sake that this was just a simple misunderstanding or a prank call and that the actual woman in question is safe and sound.
