“We live in a world where nobody can say anything.” With this phrase, the singer Katy Perry referred for the first time to the accusations that they launched against her for sexual harassment some years ago.
“I don’t want to say ‘guilty until proven otherwise’, but there is no check and no balance: a headline just flies, right? And there is no investigation on it ”, declared in an interview to the newspaper The Guardian.
The American singer, who says she prefers “not to add noise to noise, just truth”, has remained equally cautious when asked to deny the accusations against her under the excuse that she does not comment on everything that is said about her and why, in his opinion, “it is a distraction from the real MeToo movement.”
The complaint against Perry comes from the actor and model Josh Kloss, co-star of the iconic video of the topic Teenage dream with her, who through his networks described those days of work with the diva as “abusive and degrading”.
In an extensive message published on his Instagram account, the interpreter narrated that the artist was only kind to him when they were alone, but that in public it was “cold as ice” and that he came to describe as “disgusting” having to kiss him for sequences.
Kloss, who also comments that he declined an invitation from Karry to go to a strip club together, also recounted the “embarrassing” moment that, according to him, the singer made him pass at a party, when in front of the other guests he lowered the pants and briefs to expose your private parts.
These accusations were joined by Georgian presenter Tina Kandelaki, who claimed that Perry, visibly drunk, groped her “inappropriately” and attempted to kiss her at a party.
Perry, 35, who is currently pregnant with her first child, the result of her relationship with actor Orlando Bloom, is in promotion for “Smile”, which will be her fifth studio album, which will be released on August 28 .
