Kastrati is not allowed to participate in training or matches

Flamur Kastrati is not allowed to train with Kristiansund or play a match for the club as long as the case is being processed by the Norwegian Football Association and in the club.

The case is being updated!

Kristiansund writes in a press release.

It was during Sunday’s match between Vålerenga and Kristiansund in Oslo that a microphone caught that Kastrati called VIF coach Dag-Eilev Fagermo “fucking garbage”. Referee Tom Harald Hagen said after the match that he did not get the wording.

In the break interview with Eurosport, Kastrati confirmed that he used the word “sweeper”. Late Sunday night he apologized for the wording of VG. He claims he did not know what the word meant.

“We have been informed that the Norwegian Football Association (NFF) has today initiated a review of the case and will await the conclusions from this,” Kristiansund writes in Monday’s press release.

It was sent out after a meeting at Kristiansund Stadium. It took place on Monday morning, after the team returned from Oslo.

Will conduct a separate review

The club states that it will conduct a separate review of the incidents and handling, and that it will conclude on the basis of this review. It is the club’s administration and the board of the club that will carry out the review, they write.

“In this work, we will obtain the player’s version, as well as get more detailed information from the coaching and support staff who were present at Intility Arena on Sunday night. As long as the case is being processed by the NFF and in the club, Flamur Kastrati will not participate in training or in matches “, the club writes, after a meeting at Kristiansund stadium.

Kristiansund writes that coach Christian Michelsen on behalf of the club conveyed an “immediate and unreserved apology” to Vålerenga’s sports management right after the match on Sunday night.

Neither the club nor the player will comment on the matter further as long as it is being processed, the press release states.

Standard procedure

On Monday morning, the competition director of NFF, Nils Fisketjønn, said that NFF was in the process of watching the much-discussed episode on Sunday.

– We have started to gather information about the case and will have a meeting at 12 o’clock on Monday. It is standard procedure in such cases, said the competition director to NTB ahead of the meeting.

After the meeting, it will probably be clear whether the NFF will proceed with the case or not, but there are many indications that there will be a reaction. The case will first end up on the prosecution board’s table, which will then possibly send it on to the judgment and sanctions committee in NFF.
