At first, the MEP stated that she took the emigrants’ emails with their consent. Then that he requested them from the Ministry of the Interior. Yesterday, the Ministry of the Interior through the General Secretary of the Interior and Organization Athanasios Balerba stated that it does not provide electors’ email addresses to candidates, as required by current legislation.
The questions I raised on Saturday still exist and as SYRIZA, we will seek answers. We submitted a topical question to the Parliament, while we have already brought the issue to the Commission and we will submit to the Personal Data Protection Authority all complaints of emigrants that reached our offices.
