Detroit – Less than a week after the NHL draft, Austria’s young ice hockey star Marco Kasper has already signed a contract with the Detroit Red Wings. The Entry Level Contract runs for three years and is worth $950,000 per season. Kasper was drafted last week in eighth place by Detroit in the first round, only Thomas Vanek 2003 as number five was drafted higher as an Austrian.
