Seniors will no longer tune in to Šlágr television through terrestrial broadcasting. This will be available only through cable and satellite distribution. Its boss, Karel Peterka, has now explained why.
Karel Peterka, who founded Šlágr TV, claims that signal distribution costs television approximately four million crowns a month. According to the yoke, television earns only two hundred thousand in the same period.
That is why he decided for a radical change and Šlágr television will end up on terrestrial broadcasting.
Viewers, especially seniors, will have to secure the channel in another way, such as cable or Internet TV, if they are interested in watching TV further. However, this can be a problem for often less technically skilled retirees.
