Kanye West wants to make a bid for the presidency in the United States this year. The rapper announced on Twitter on Saturday that he was eligible for election in the 2020 presidential election.
“We must now dwell on America’s promise by trusting God, uniting our vision, and building our future. I will participate in the presidential election in the United States # 2020vision,” said West.
It is striking that the rapper is running for this year’s elections, which should take place in November. West has not yet officially registered with the Federal Election Commission, which is a requirement for a candidacy, writes TMZ.
It is not the first time that the rapper has expressed his political ambitions. During the MTV Video Music Awards in 2015, the rapper already made known want to make a bid for the presidency.
