Kozhikode – Kanthapuram AP Muhammad Musliar (72), prominent Islamic religious scholar and secretary of Samasta Kerala Jamiatul Ulama passed away. He died at 6 am on Sunday while being treated at a private hospital in Kozhikode. Markus is the deputy principal and devoted disciple of Kanthapuram AP Abubakar Musliyar. He was born in 1950 at Karuvanpoil near Koduvalli as the son of late Kallachi Cheku Haji and Ayesha. Bakhavi graduated from Bakhiyat, Vellore, Tamil Nadu, after long period of study under AP Abubakar Musliar, Kanthapuram, Kolikal, Mangad, etc. In 1975, Kanthapuram AP Abubakar Musliar started teaching as the Vice Principal of Kanthapuram Azizia Arabic College. He has served as principal and vice principal at Marcus for the past twenty years. He is also the Khali of many Mahals in Kozhikode district. There are thousands of disciples in and outside Kerala.
At 9 am, the dead body will be taken to Karuvanpoil house, Karantur after funeral prayers held at Karantur Jamia Markus Masjid. At four in the evening, the grave will be buried in Chullyad Juma Masjid Cemetery in Karuvanpoi.
