[마이데일리 = 이승길 기자] Singer Kang Sung-hoon from the group Sechs Kies is carrying out activities to eradicate drugs.
Seong-Hoon Kang was appointed as a public relations ambassador for the Korea Youth Drug Prevention and Eradication Coalition in 2023, and was recently appointed as a public relations ambassador for the Chungcheongbuk-do Anti-Drug Movement Headquarters.
Kang Seong-hoon was appointed as a public relations ambassador for the ‘Chungbuk Matoe Headquarters’ at the ‘2024 Chungbuk Pharmacist Farm Fair and Training Education’ held at the Grand Plaza Hotel in Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province on the 7th, and raised awareness of the dangers of drugs and appealed for the need for active education.
Seong-Hoon Kang said, “The drug problem among young people these days is really serious. Last year alone, the number of people arrested for drugs was 26,000, and more than 35% of them were young people in their teens and thirties. “We need to actively inform people about the dangers of drugs, and those who are already addicted need urgent treatment,” he said.
In addition, Kang Seong-hoon said, “Recently, drugs have penetrated deep into the daily lives of teenagers beyond housewives and office workers, causing considerable damage. Nevertheless, out of the 21 drug-designated hospitals designated by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, there are only two hospitals that can receive and admit patients,” he said. “Not only is the number of hospitals severely insufficient, but facilities also need to be expanded, and drug addict management needs to be better.” “I earnestly request that it be systemized professionally.”
Kang Seong-hoon said, “Most celebrities have no choice but to live a limited life, a little different from ordinary people. Sometimes there are times of emptiness and loneliness. I am not a drug addict, but I once had many difficulties in life. “At that time, I had family and acquaintances who truly loved my mother, my sister, and me,” he said. “When young people show true love and interest when they are having a hard time, the fruit comes to life.” When you’re having a hard time, say ‘It’s okay. “If you consoled me by saying, ‘I’m going to start over, cheer up,’ I wouldn’t think negatively about it,” he emphasized.
Meanwhile, Kang Seong-hoon said, “I want to become a singer who has a positive influence on society with music that contains good messages,” and said to young people, “We are running a campaign these days. Even though everything is crowded and the road ahead is dark like a cave, the sky is open.” ASCENDING COME TOGETHER We soar together’ (ACT),” he said in a message of support.
