Kane will not leave Tottenham during the current transfer period

Star striker Harry Kane has said he will remain a Tottenham player. The 28-year-old captain of the English national team, who was mainly associated with a possible transfer to Manchester City during the summer, announced today on social networks that he would not leave the Spurs during this transfer period.

“It was incredible to see Sunday’s reception from the fans and to read so much supporting news from them in the last few weeks. I will continue to stay in Tottenham this summer and focus 100% on helping the team succeed,” wrote on social network Kane.

Due to his late involvement in team training, Kane missed both the opening match of the English top competition with Manchester City (1: 0) and the first duel of the 4th preliminary round of the European Conference League against Pacos de Ferreira (0: 1). Over the weekend, however, he started for the first time of the season as a substitute player for the last 18 minutes on the Wolverhampton field and helped to win 1: 0. Tottenham is one of five teams in the home league after two matches that have not lost a point yet.

Kane has been with Tottenham since he was 11 and has scored 221 goals in 337 games at the London Club. His current contract is valid until June 30, 2024.
