Guerreiro shoots BVB to victory
Thanks to Kai Havertz (photo) Bayer Leverkusen is back on the Champions League course. The team of coach Peter Bosz won the important Rhein derby at Borussia Mönchengladbach with 3: 1 (1: 0). Already at 4: 1 on Monday in Bremen, the 20-year-old, coveted across Europe, had scored twice.
By winning the direct rival, for whom only Marcus Thuram (52.) scored, Bayer moved past Borussia to third with 53 points in the table. Werder’s hope lives: hard-won victory in Freiburg

The second full-back Achraf Hakimi made everything clear in the 78th minute.
Dortmund played so well and organized that they didn’t need much more opportunities to score. Only in the second half were they lucky with a major Wolfsburg chance. After a foul on Hakimi and using the video evidence, VfL professional Felix Klaus still saw the red card in the 82nd minute.
Paderborn again does not win: 1-1 against Hoffenheim probably not enough
The SC Paderborn is on the way back to the 2nd Bundesliga despite a decent appearance. The team of coach Steffen Baumgart did not go beyond a 1: 1 (1: 1) against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim in the first home game since the Coronavirus forced break in front of empty ranks and has now been waiting for a win for almost four months. Dennis Srbeny’s remarkable goal in the 9th minute was enough for the East Westphalia on Saturday only after Robert Skov Hoffenheim had taken the lead very early (4th). The division of points does not really help the TSG either and could end up being too little in the race for international places.
Paderborn would like to have such worries. It is becoming increasingly difficult for the newcomer to prevent direct relegation. If Fortuna Düsseldorf wins on Sunday at 1. FC Köln, the bottom of the table from East Westphalia on the relegation place would already be eight points.
