The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, gave details of the shootout that took place in Gudermes on the night of March 29.
“Together with the special services, the security forces of the Chechen Republic worked out operational information about two criminals in the private sector of Gudermes. During the special operation to neutralize them, their location was quickly determined. The militants were blocked and offered to surrender. Trying to escape from the encirclement, the criminals threw a grenade towards law enforcement officers. Both were destroyed by return fire. None of the law enforcement officers or civilians were injured,” – said the head of Chechnya.

“I ask you not to spread rumors about some unfinished remnants of the bandit group, their sudden attack on the security forces and similar fakes. The perpetrators have been identified and neutralized, – said the head of Chechnya.
Earlier, the Shot telegram channel published a video with policemen shooting back and reported that an attack had been made on a police station post in Gudermes.
“According to preliminary information, two unknown persons fired at the police post, they were killed by return fire,” – the message says.
EADaily reported that a day ago, around midnight, three people attacked a police post between Ingushetia and North Ossetia. Two policemen were wounded.
